Wesleyan Sponsors Annual Flu Clinic

Rick Culliton, assistant vice president for the Office of Student Affairs and dean of students, receives an influenza vaccine from Registered Nurse Marilyn Leibe. The Davison Health Center and Department of Human Resources sponsored the annual Flu Clinic for students, faculty, staff and their dependents Nov. 1-4 in the Usdan University Center.
Joyce Walter, director of the Davison Health Center, assists Shelby Arnold '12 and Doug Allen, assistant to the facilities manager in the Chemistry Department, with their immunization administration and consent form. The forms were required to receive the vaccine.
Registered Nurse Debbie Tyndale applies a bandage to Abraham Verdoes '09 after giving him the flu vaccine. Wesleyan students were charged $37 for their shot.
Licensed Practical Nurse Ida Blumberg inoculates Abigail Hornstein, assistant professor of economics. The vaccine was free to all Wesleyan employees eligible for the CIGNA health plan.
Steven Le '12 receives his shot from Blumberg. Le was one of more than 500 Wesleyan affiliates to receive the flu vaccine this year. The MidState VNA & Hospice provided the clinical services and the Student Health Advisory Committee assisted with clerical duties. (Photos by Olivia Bartlett)
