The July 8 workshop focused on "An Overview of Conceptual Change Theory and Motivation Theories" and "Writing in the Sciences." Lecturer James Zimmerman, professor of nuclear chemistry and associate director of the Research Academy on University Learning at Montclair State University, spoke to the group about student learning outcomes. Brian Northrop, assistant professor of chemistry, listens during the July 9 session on "Tips, Rubrics and Protocols." Erika Taylor, assistant professor of chemistry, coordinated the workshop. The conference is held every July.
