"In Theory" is a weekly lecture series by Wesleyan faculty who introduce and discuss major critical theorists. The series is sponsored by the Certificate in Social, Cultural and Critical Theory. Roth also read segments from his forthcoming book. Jonathan Cutler, associate professor and chair of psychology, introduced President Roth to the audience. As part of the "In Theory" series, Cutler will speak on Karl Marx Oct. 26. About 100 students and faculty attended Roth's talk on Freud. Upcoming "In Theory" lectures, which are delivered by Wesleyan faculty, are held every Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in Downey House 113. Upcoming speakers and lecture topics are online here.
