Continuing its commitment to use clean, renewable energy whenever appropriate, Wesleyan has installed solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on a number of campus facilities including the Office of Admissions, a student-housing unit and most recently the Freeman Athletic Center parking lot and rooftop (pictured).

Partnering with Safari Energy, LLC, a solar energy organization run by Wesleyan alumni Matthew Rudey and John Norman, Wesleyan will be able to increase its total carbon offset to 166,063 pounds and produce over 200,000 kilowatts of electricity or power 34 average sized households.
