Karen Anderson was promoted to associate provost on April 20. Anderson served as associate dean of Continuing Studies and director of the Graduate Liberal Studies Program since 2006, and has been at Wesleyan since 2002. She earned her MA and Ph.D from the University of Chicago, where she studied the history of religions, specializing in Hinduism and Sanskrit literature. Before coming to Wesleyan, she directed the annual conferences of the American Theological Library Association, and taught at DePaul University and the University of Chicago's Graham School of General Studies.
