On May 19, Wesleyan Adult Fitness finished its "Couch to 5K" fitness class. During the challenge, all participants successfully completed a 5K event at the Freeman Athletic Center outdoor track. "Eleven hard working, committed staff took on this personal challenge with the goal of building the endurance and strength necessary to safely complete a 5K event," said Heather Minetti, adult fitness coordinator. "Congratulations to this very dedicated group of staff." More than 20 teams from Wesleyan are participating in the 10-week Cardinal Fit Challenge, sponsored by the Office of Human Resources and the Cardinal Fit Committee. The goal of the challenge is to encourage Wesleyan employees to develop or enhance their exercise and healthy eating habits. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
