The Corporation for National and Community Service named Wesleyan University to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The Honor Roll recognizes institutions that reflect the values of exemplary service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities.

According to the Corporation’s press release, “(Wesleyan’s) selection to the Honor Roll is recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of your commitment to service and civic engagement on your campus and in our nation.”

The 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll was formally announced at the American Council on Education annual conference in Washington, D.C. on March 4.

The honor roll, launched in 2006, highlights colleges and universities’ efforts solving community problems and placing more students on lifelong paths of civic engagement.
