Halloween Celebrated with Parade, Decorative Pumpkin Displays

In honor of Halloween, several offices created or carved decorative pumpkins. Usdan University Center hosted its 11th annual Usdan Pumpkin Contest with Public Safety, Residential Life, Events and Conferences, Cardinal Tech, Usdan Operations, the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, and Student Leadership and Development (SALD) and Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) Office participating. SALD/WSA Office won the contest with its Dia de los muertos pumpkin. The Office of University Communications carved and painted pumpkins and displayed them in offices in South College and Exley Science Center.

Neighborhood Preschoolers Trick-or-Treat on Wesleyan’s Campus

On Oct. 31, Wesleyan’s Neighborhood Preschool participated in the annual NPS Halloween Parade. The children, accompanied by their families and care-takers, stopped at Olin Library, South College and North College to trick-or-treat, sing songs and show off their costumes. Many trick-or-treaters are the children of Wesleyan faculty and staff. Several staff from University Communications dressed up and offered candy to the parade participants. (Photos by Olivia Drake)

Preschoolers Parade through Campus on Halloween

More than 50 children enrolled in Wesleyan’s Neighborhood Preschool participated in the annual NPS Halloween Parade on Oct. 31. The children, accompanied by their parents, grandparents, teachers and care-takers, paraded through Exley Science Center and stopped at Olin Library and North College to sing songs. Many Wesleyan staff members passed out candy to the children along their parade route.

Neighborhood Preschoolers Haunt Campus Oct. 30

Fisherman Andrew is the son of Trish Thompson, lab manager in the Biology Department. He was one of more than 50 children enrolled in Wesleyan’s preschool who walked in the annual Halloween Parade Oct. 30 on Wesleyan’s campus. The children stopped on the steps of North College and sang songs while the parent paparazzi took photos and videos.
