More than 50 children enrolled in the Wesleyan Neighborhood Preschool walked in the annual Halloween Parade Oct. 31 on Wesleyan's campus. Nora Printy, 4, dressed as a scary witch for Halloween. She is the daughter of Michael Printy, visiting assistant professor of letters, and Katherine Kuenzli, assistant professor of art history. She has been at the Neighborhood Preschool for three years. Masami Imai, assistant professor of economics, assistant professor of East Asian studies, carries his 11-month-old son, Tetsuya Iami, who is dressed up as a frog. Tetsuya has been at the Neighborhood Preschool for four months. Gwendolyn Connor, 3, dressed as a skunk for Halloween while her classmate, Madeline Lane, 4, dressed as a pretty pink princess. Gwendolyn is the daughter of Damien Sheehan-Connor, assistant professor of economics, and Madeline is the daughter of Robert Lane, assistant professor of molecular biology and biochemistry. One-year-old Maya Collins, 1, dressed as a puppy, received a piggy-back ride from her father, Kevin Collins. Maya also is the daughter of Etsuko Takahashi, adjunct assistant professor of Asian languages and literatures, adjunct assistant professor of East Asian studies. This is Maya's second year at NPS, and "she loves all the teachers and friends there," Takahashi says. Ten-month-old Violet Carrion-Collins dressed as a gypsy for the parade. Lily Carrion-Collins, 2, is a second-year member of the Neighborhood Preschool. She and her sister, Violet, who is pictured above, are the children of Julie Carrion and Steve Collins, visiting assistant professor of film studies.
