Chair and Corwin Fuller Professor of Film Studies Jeanine Basinger comments in The Philadelphia Inquirer about “Hurt Locker” director Kathryn Bigelow, who received a Directors Guild of America award for her work on the film, and who has been nominated for an Oscar.
