A Well-Timed Voice of Reason for Pre-Frosh
The last semester of high school is no time to slack-off for accepted high school seniors
A recent column in The New York Times by Caren Osten Gerszberg details the letter her daughter Nicole ’15 received from Wesleyan offering congratulations on early decision admissions, and reminding her that “the single most important thing you can do to prepare for four tremendous years at Wesleyan is to keep your ‘nose to the grindstone and shoulder to the wheel.'” Gerszberg says the advice was well-timed and reinforced parents’ messages that accepted students need to remain focused and conscientious.
