In a recent piece in The Faster Times, Elvin Lim, associate professor of government, examined the now famous broccoli and health care question asked by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia during the Court’s hearing on “ObamaCare.” Lim says in the answer provided by Solicitor General Verrilli started his argument correctly but left out one key component that would’ve clinched the argument for the government.
