Visiting writer in theater wins prestigious award for her play "Water by the Spoonful"

The Associated Press reports that Quiara Alegria Hudes, visiting writer in theater, has won the Pulitzer Prize in Drama for her play “Water by the Spoonful,” which chronicles the struggles of an Iraq vet. The play had its debut this past fall at The Hartford Stage Company in Hartford, Conn. Hudes is also the writer of the book for the Broadway show “In the Heights,” which was created by Lin-Manuel Miranda ’02.
