On April 6, Wesleyan President Michael Roth met with recent Cardinal Achievement Award recipients and their managers at a luncheon. Cardinal Achievement Awards are given to staff members who have demonstrated extraordinary initiative in performing a specific task associated with their work at the university. This special honor comes with a $250 award and reflects the university’s gratitude for their extra efforts. President Roth hosted the event at his office in South College.
President Roth speaks with Terry Emmons, an accounting specialist in the Chemistry Department, and Anjali Tamhankar, associate director of human resources. Roth asked everyone at the event to share why they won a Cardinal Achievement Award. Tamhankar received her award in March.Cardinal Award recipient Jennifer Collingwood mingles with fellow awardee Paul Turenne. Collingwood is administrative assistant for the Office of Study Abroad and the Center for Global Studies. Turenne is senior associate registrar. The event was sponsored by the Office of Human Resources.
