The increase, equal to the lowest percentage increase in seven years, is attributable to growth in salary and benefits costs, as well as energy and other costs that outpace general inflation. The Board of Trustees approved the fee increase at its meeting on March 1. Tuition will be $38,364 for all students in 2008-2009. Each year, more than 1,000 college seniors apply to the Watson program, but only 50 fellowships are awarded. Posted 04/04/08 Wesleyan raised $136,098.32 this year to support the Middlesex United Way, topping last year’s campaign total. The campaign supports critical human care services and county-wide projects that address the top concerns of local residents: housing, mental health and substance abuse.
