Two Wesleyan skiers took podium spots in the McBrine Division League Championships Feb. 16 and 17 at Magic Mountain, Vt. Michael Creager '15 and Chris Delaney '14 came in second and third respectively in the Men's Ski Division. Two snowboarders, Dylan Penn '15 and Atticus Swartwood '14, qualified for nationals. The Wesleyan Ski Team is a student-run club team that competes in both Giant Slalom and Slalom events. For more than a decade Wesleyan has celebrated the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. The celebration has taken various forms including prominent keynote speakers such as Johnetta Cole and Sonia Sanchez to a campus-based program where members of the faculty, staff and students read portions of King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Wesleyan alumni helped their communities by participating in the WEServe Week of Service, Jan. 20-26. Alumni all over the country worked side-by-side with fellow alumni, students, families and friends on special projects. WEServe follows the National Day of Service on Jan. 19, and honors Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 21.
