Major strides have been made to meet the intended completion date of Sept. 3, 2013. The entire track surface and sub-surface will be replaced with an additional sprint chute included. The long-jump/triple-jump areas will now be located outside the perimeter of the track. The interior of the track will be a new lighted synthetic turf field with primary use as an inclement-weather game and practice field, taking pressure off the grass practice fields and Jackson Field, the principal playing field for men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s lacrosse.
