The College of the Environment is the first new College to be launched at Wesleyan since 1960.Kristie Ebi, executive director of the technical support unit of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, spoke on “Global Environmental Challenges” following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Her talk was part of the 7th annual Robert Schumann Environmental Studies Symposium, which was held in conjunction with the COE’s opening. The College of the Environment hosted an open house Oct. 22, where students, faculty, staff and alumni had the opportunity to meet COE faculty and learn more about the mission of the program.
