Seth Redfield, assistant professor of astronomy, and Roy Kilgard, research assistant professor of astronomy, assisted with the event. Both telescopes are owned by Wesleyan and and allow viewers to see solar flares and sun spots. The public outreach event was held in conjunction with the annual Sturm Memorial Lecture. Alan Title, director and senior fellow of the Advanced Technology Center at Lockheed Martin, spoke on “Making the Invisible Sun Visible” March 27 in Daniel Family Commons.
