The center was provided by Wesleyan’s Office of Sustainability and is accessible to anyone on campus who wishes to recycle items that cannot be recycled in a traditional manner. The center has spaces for small electronics, inkjet/toner cartridges, lead acid batteries, alkaline batteries, CDs/DVDs, and compact fluorescent light bulbs. Zachary Berkowitz ’18 recycled a few used alkaline batteries. Tess Litchman ’16 and Maya Berkman ’16 were all smiles as they used the new center to recycle an old fluorescent light bulb.
