James Kubat, associate director for career development at the Career Center, held a mini clinic for the women's basketball team on Feb. 14. Kubat encouraged the student-athletes to visit the Career Center to discuss resume development, job search techniques, job networking and successful interviewing.
Kubat said, "No matter what year you’re in and no matter how late or early it is, we can tailor our relationship to each student’s individual stage of career development, whether you're just starting out in thinking of career options, or, at the point where you're ready to prep for an upcoming job interview."The mini clinic was part of Wesleyan's Athletics Advantage Program (A+), which combines individual training, mentoring, internships, career coaching, job shadowing, community service, and other dimensions of the successful undergraduate Wesleyan scholar-athlete career.The A+ program brings the classroom to the locker room and intensifies the student’s preparation for life beyond athletics.
