All NewsSnapshotsBruce Performs Recital of Art Songs with Guest Singers Olivia DrakeDecember 17, 20093minPianist Neely Bruce, professor of music, presented a recital of songs by Busoni, Schubert, Bruce and Brahms Dec. 7 in Memorial Chapel. Bruce accompanied guest baritone Christopher Grundy on the songs. Grundy received his bachelors of art from Yale University, where he conducted the Yale Russian Chorus, and was awarded the Ben Cutler Vocal Scholarship. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in music at Indiana University. Soprano Katie Polit, a second-year Ph.D student at Indiana University, was a special guest at the recital. Pictured, she turns the pages for three of Bruce's early songs, which which received their world premieres on this occasion.
