The fast was sponsored by the Interfaith Justice League and Muslim Student Association. Muslim Chaplain Marwa Aly speaks on the importance of fasting. Participants were given a Fast-a-Thon T-shirt for their support. They agreed to fast for the day, and donated their unused meals or student meal points to the local soup kitchen, Amazing Grace. Jourdan Hussein '11 speaks prior to the Fast-a-Thon Ramadan Banquet. Participants gathered at the end of the day to eat an Indian meal, catered by Haveli Indian Restaurant in Middletown. The banquet concluded the day-long Fast-a-Thon.
