Fast-a-Thon Raises Funds, Food for Local Pantry

Students line up outside Beckham Hall prior to the second annual Fast-a-Thon Ramadan Banquet Sept. 25. The fast was sponsored by the Interfaith Justice League and Muslim Student Association.

Participants were given a Fast-a-Thon T-shirt for their support. They agreed to fast for the day, and donated their unused meals or student meal points to the local soup kitchen, Amazing Grace.

Participants gathered at the end of the day to eat an Indian meal, catered by Haveli Indian Restaurant in Middletown. The banquet concluded the day-long Fast-a-Thon.
