Taekjip Ha of University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign gave a keynote speech titled “Shedding Light on Helicase Mechanisms One Molecule at a Time.” Molecular biology and biochemistry graduate students Yayan Zhou and Jie Zhai present their research at a poster session during the day-long retreat. More than 30 undergraduates, graduate students and post-doc researchers participated in a poster session. Zhou and Zhai work with Manju Hingorani, associate professor of molecular biology and biochemistry.
