Internationally acclaimed Israeli writer and filmmaker Etgar Keret (right) was the guest speaker for the screening of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006), the final screening of the Spring Ring Family Israeli Film Festival on April 7. This dark comedy, directed by Goran Dukic, is an adaptation of Keret’s novella, “Kneller's Happy Campers,” a search for a lost love, newfound friends, and the continued quest for happiness in life and after life. Keret introduced the film, did a Q&A about the adaptation, and read a short story from his latest book of fiction, which will be published in the United States next year.
