All NewsFacultySnapshotsHill Teaches Local K-8 Teachers about Math Concepts Olivia DrakeJune 28, 20173minCameron Hill, assistant professor of mathematics, is teaching the 2017 State Intel Math Class from June 19-30. The class is open to any K-8 teachers in the state of Connecticut. Intel Math is an intensive, 80-hour, content-based course that helps local teachers deepen their own understanding of K-8 math content and connections between concepts. Hill is teaching the class at the Green Street Teaching and Learning Center. Hill teaches Discrete Mathematics and Abstract Algebra courses at Wesleyan. Teachers leave the class knowing how to use manipulatives as tools for students to find multiple solutions to problems. Hill also teaches how to use games to teach math.
