The 12 students—including two Posse Veteran Scholars—visited with the veterans, sang patriotic songs, and pinned American flag pins on their lapels in honor of their military service. They were joined by Mehr-Muska’s chaplain intern from Yale Divinity School, Jonathan Heinly, and the chaplain at the Veterans Home. Among the veterans they met was a 101-year-old man who served as a member of the Tuskegee Airmen. mehr-muskaposse scholars Related Articles All NewsArts & HumanitiesCampus News & Events November 20, 2024 Mike Mavredakis Celebrated Filmmakers, Producers Share Insight into Black Cinema at Shasha Seminar All NewsArts & HumanitiesFaculty November 20, 2024 Ziba Kashef Narratives of Fear: An Anthropologist’s Research with Asylum Seekers All NewsArts & Humanities November 19, 2024 Andrew Chatfield Glenn Ligon ’82, Hon. ’12 Talks Career, Work at Pruzan Art Center
