Wesleyan’s Green Street Arts Center received a $5,000 grant from the Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Office of the Arts, on Jan. 17. The award will support the center’s Arts and Science After School Program through Dec. 31, 2013. The Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Office of the Arts, also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Wesleyan's Green Street Arts Center received a $7,500 grant from the Middletown Youth Services Bureau on Sept. 27. The award will support Green Street's Arts and Science Afterschool program during the 2013 fiscal year.
The Green Street Arts Center received a grant worth $5,000 from the Liberty Bank Foundation on June 21. The award will support the center's After School Program in 2013.

Wesleyan’s Green Street Arts Center received a $75,000 grant from the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (CHEFA) on March 1. The grant will support Green Street’s After School Program in 2012. CHEFA’s mission is to enhance the welfare and prosperity and improve the health and living conditions of the citizens of the State of Connecticut by providing access to tax-exempt financing and other financial assistance to institutions of higher education, healthcare institutions, childcare providers and nonprofit organizations. A profile of Green Street Arts Center, where art, instruction, community and support all come together
The Green Street Arts Center received a $4,000 grant from the Aetna Foundation to support the center's Afterschool Program. The award will be applied Jan. 1, 2010 through June 30, 2010. In addition, The Green Street Arts Center received a $3,000 grant from Lego for the art center's mural project.

Sonia BasSheva Mañjon, vice president for diversity and strategic partnerships, will investigate two partnerships between higher education institutions and urban communities during a conference at Trinity College Oct. 23. The day-long event, titled “Cultural Identity through the Arts in Urban Communities,” will pursue how academic institutions can develop new and innovative collaborative projects with diverse communities in urban settings.
